Ok i have a 99 c5 auto. Has anyone replaced the rear bearings on the torque tube assembly. This isolator bushing is in the way to where i cant access the nut to split the spline shaft. Its a 2 piece design unlike the 6 speed one piece design. I attached photos. Anyone know how to remove the rear isolator or have pictures of the one of there c5 m6 that i could compare it too. Also is the manual isolator bushing the same on a c5 6 speed.

Ah i believe i got it repaired. The front bearing was easy to replace and the rear nsk bearings had some grease left in them. If i do ever need to access the torque tube again i may replace it with a 2001-04 model with the c-clip. The rear carrier bearings for the torque tube i think are easily accessible with a nylon bushing and nut and the driveshaft is bigger 63mm with the 12mm bolts.
Sorry for the delay Honestly I'm not even sure I have never tried. Just to let you know though, My site is mostly folks with trucks at this early stage. So chances of someone else responding to a vette thing are slim for now. But with that said, That bushing should slide out fairly easy. You should be able to hook it and pull it out. I could maybe look into a procedure on my data if you are still fighting it.
