It very well could. You need to do your part though and make sure you diagnose the concern first. Often times the newer direct injection models have a bent pushrod instead of a collapsed lifter. If that's the case the lifter release trick won't help you. However I do offer a pushrod upgrade for that issue that will help you. Take the time to actually find out if you have a collapsed lifter or not first.
