I have a 2012 Chevy 1500. 5.3L Afm. 260K. Bought it knowing it had an issue (got it cheap 😉). Was just going to replace lifters and vlom but I watched the video about how if it was driven for a while with a stuck lifter it could damage the camshaft. So my question is if there is a possibility of the cam being damaged would I be better off just doing the delete?

I plan on having this truck long term so I'll just do the delete and reprogram to avoid any future problems. I appreciate the quick response. Thank you
If the camshaft is damaged doing a full delete is a much better option. It cost about the same but eliminates the AFM specific issues. I recommend LT1swap.com to shut the system off if you plan oem non AFM camshaft.
