First, I received my VLOM oil block off plug today, and I want to say thank you for the prompt shipping, and the pocket Constitution included gives me a freedom b**ner. So I removed the solenoids like how you did in the video, cleaned up all the nasty carbon and dirt, and am in the process of reassembly (waiting on new VLOM and intake gaskets) but my question is, will a Range AFM disabler work and allow me to drive the truck to get the AFM/DOD properly turned off from a tuner? I live in a rural area, but I have family in the city where the tuner is at. I have a Range disabler that I can use for the drive as it would make it quicker and easier than sending out the PCM. Thank you in advance.

Finished the job today, (was waiting on gaskets) and my truck is back on the road. VLOM mod done, oil block off plug seated perfectly when I checked it with compressed air. For the resistor portion, I just cut off the 5 pin VLOM plug, extended the wires, and then connected the resistors closer to the alternator so when I leave the tuner I can just cut the resistors out and tape off and tuck away the wires. Thank you again for providing the products you do, and for sharing your knowledge on how to perform the VLOM mod to save people like me tons of money.
No problem on the freedom hard on, glad so many appreciate me sending them out. The only way the range disabler will work is if you have a set of resistors to fool the computer into thinking there are solenoids in it. Once the tune is done that is no longer necessary.
